UK Competition Authority Revisits Sporting Index Acquisition by Spreadex
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in the UK made an announcement on Wednesday regarding a review of its previous decision concerning the acquisition of Sporting Index by Spreadex. This decision came after Spreadex successfully appealed to the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT). While victory is not assured, this development provides Spreadex with another opportunity to defend its investment and safeguard its prospects in the UK.

Feasey also headed the original independent panel that reviewed the deal.
Despite the ruling, the CMA issued an interim order prohibiting Spreadex from fully integrating Sporting Index into its operations until the reassessment process concludes. This order prohibits the transfer of ownership and sensitive business information between the two entities.
